After getting blown out at home on Saturday night the Sabres completed a tough weekend with an overtime loss at Boston.  The Sabres took the lead 3-2 in the third period on Tim Schaller's first career goal only to see the Bruins come back to tie with less than two minutes to play.  Then Lou Eriksson won it in overtime for a 4-3 Boston win.

Andrei Mezaros and Rasmus Ristolainen had the other Buffalo goals to lead a team that was missing a number of key players to illness and injury.  Brian Gionta and Marcus Foligno left with injuries leaving the Sabres with a short bench.  The Sabres were already missing Matt Moulson, Tyler Myers, Torrey Mitchell, Cody McCormick, Mike Weber and Patrick Kaleta forcing the team to call up a number of players from Rochester.  And they held their own until late in the game.

The Sabres are in Detroit Tuesday night.
