The very first CMA awards in 1967 weren’t even televised. Eddy Arnold was Entertainer of the Year. Jack Greene was the Male Vocalist and had the Single, Song and Album of the Year with “There Goes My Everything”
November 5, 2011 Hollywood has a walk of fame for their stars so why wouldn't Nashville want to celebrate the incredible number of stars that have come from their city and walked their streets. On November 5th, 2006, they started up their very own Music City Walk Of Fame.
It's amazing what 12 years can do to someones career in the music business. In the late 1990's, there was no one hotter in country music than Shania Twain. It is possible that she may make a comeback, although she really doesn't need to from a financial standpoint
October 25, 2011 As they say in showbiz the show must go on and that’s exactly what will happen for Steel Magnolia’s Meghan Linsey, but not without help from singer James Otto. Let me explain, a few weeks ago Meghan told fans that her duo partner Joshua Scott Jones would enter rehab to work on getting healthy. Of course that’s a good thing but Steel Magnolia is part of the Reba tour which obviously is a big opportunity for Steel Magnolia and of course Meghan. Here is where James Otto comes in; James will fill in for Josh on the tour.

September 8, 2011 Happy 59th birthday goes out today to Gary Baker. You may be scratching your head trying to figure out who he is. But I'm sure you know his music. He's a guy who was born right here in Niagara Falls, NY. Gary is most well known for a song that he wrote for John Michael Montgomery called, "I Swear." It was also recorded by pop group All-4-One.

With 2011 more than half over — and the summer concert season winding down — Billboard has tallied up the totals for the year’s biggest tours so far, and a number of country artists are going strong.
U2 leads the list, with a nearly $175 million gross, with the top five rounded out by Roger Waters ($114 million), Bon Jovi ($107 million), Lady Gaga ($72 million), and Usher ($70 million). And the year’s biggest country tours? Kenny Chesney (No. 9, $25 million) and the George Strait/Reba pairing (number 15, $17.5 million).
