Pembroke Girls Basketball Shooting For A Cure

It's another great tradition in Western New York!

The Pembroke girls basketball team has asked us to share their great fundraising event with you.

The Pembroke Girls Basketball team will be hosting their 8th annual Shooting For A Cure! game on Thursday, January 10, 2019 vs. Notre-Dame in support of funding research efforts at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Over the past seven seasons, this small community has raised over $88,000 for cancer research at Roswell Park.

According to the news release,

This year’s fundraiser  will mark the eighth consecutive season the Pembroke team will be focused on winning—not just league games, but the battle against cancer.  It’s a cause that remains personal to the team and their school district because of the number of students, faculty, staff, and community members who have been affected by cancer.
