Pepsi In A Green Can? True
Over the years I've tried all the Pepsi products - Diet Pepsi, Crystal Pepsi, Pepsi Free, Cherry Pepsi. I've tried 'em in all kinds of bottles and cans, 8-ounce, 12-ounce, 16-ounce, 20-ounce, 24-ounce, 1-liter, 1.5-liter, 2-liter. And there's no doubt I'll try Pepsi's newest offering, Pepsi True.
The cola wars continue with Coke and Pepsi facing off in a new formula product that uses the natural sweeter stevia. It's a response to public desire for a good-tasting cola without the calories. The new Pepsi True will debut in the middle of October and initially there will be only one place you can buy it; Amazon.com, in 24 pack 7.5-ounce cans.
Pepsi True is somewhere in between Pepsi Next and regular Pepsi. It's actually a blend of stevia and sugar. And at 60 calories per serving it has 40 percent fewer calories than regular Pepsi and 30 percent less sugar.
Coke recently put out a similar version of a stevia/sugar product called Coke Life, but people hated the taste. Pepsi says it's been working on their formula for three years and say taste tests have been positive.
