This is the time of the year that Sabres fans get anxious, this season hasn't been an easy one for the Sabres, they have not been a "shoe-in" for the playoffs but of late the Sabres have been HOT!

In the Sabres last 10 games their record has been 6-3-1 and as I sit here and write this the Sabres hold the 8th and final playoff spot with 78 points, Carolina is two points behind Buffalo in 9th place in the Eastern Conference. The puck will drop today at 5pm at HSBC Arena as the Sabres face off against the Nashville Preadators.

Last night the Sabres dominated at home beating the Atlanta Thrashers 8-2. Rob Niedermayer had two goals for the Sabres in the game and 6 other Sabres players had goals including... Gerbe, Mancari, Pominville, Ennis, Boyes and Connolly. Not a bad game for Ryan Miller, he made 28 saves on 30 shots.

Let's hope the Sabres went home after last nights game and got plenty of rest for today's game. We need every point we can get! After all it's playoff push time! Let's go BUFFALO!!
