Police Officer Punches a Woman in the Face [VIDEO]

When I was little, I was taught that a man should never hit a woman.  Ever. I was also taught that you never put your hands on a police officer.  Both of those things happen in this video, but the question is, who is wrong?

A New Jersey police officer was breaking up a fight last week, and some of it was caught on a cell phone camera.  In the video, you can see a scuffle, and as the fight moves closer, the police officer successfully takes one of the men to the ground.  After the man falls, you see a woman lunge at the officer and then it happens.  The police cocks back his right arm and unloads on the woman.

There are certainly two sides to every story, and this one is no exception.  The unwritten law is that a man should never hit a woman.  However, police officers have to protect themselves too.  Who knows what would have happened if he ended up getting caught up in a wrestling match with that woman and the man got his gun.
