I came across an interesting statement.  If the population of China walked past you, in single file, the line would never end because of the rate of reproduction.  Kinda scary, huh?

With more than 1.32 billion people – China has the largest population in the world.  China reached the 1 billion mark in 1982 and in less than 30 years they added population equal to that of the United States.  Matter of fact there are more than twice as many people in China than in the United States and Europe combined.

23 percent of all the people on earth live in China, but India is very close behind.  India also has a billion people but is expected to surpass China to take the population lead by the year 2030.  That’s because China has been doing a better job at convincing people about family planning.  Even so, China adds 39-thousand new people every day.  Every year, China grows by 14-million – equal to the number of people in Texas

Together, both China and India account for more than a third of the world’s population.
