I thought Randy Houser put on a heck of a show last night at the Erie County Fair. He even treated us to a bunch of songs in his encore! It has to be tough when you are both the opener and the headliner. Randy was not only smooth and bluesy, rockin and wild, he was also as country as the day is long. I found that some of the songs were not as well received by the large crowd as he had hoped. The southern blues style seem to leave some fans a little less than entertained. However, his ability to mix that sound with a true hard core country sound and some rock was a brilliant combination and a breath of fresh air from the ordinary "cookie cutter country" that is popular from many of today's top stars. All in all, a fantastic night again at the fair from a outstanding talent!
