About 50 homeless dogs arrived today September 18th in Buffalo and are heading to the SPCA for adoption.  The dogs were displaced from Florida shelters due to the overwhelming number of dogs at shelters after hurricane Irma.

Dogs should be ready for adoption as early as Tuesday, September 19th and some have already been spayed or neutered.

SPCA held a free adoption event this weekend which cleared room for the arriving dogs today and for future dogs coming in from hurricane hit locations.
