Today was the Relay For Life at Springville Griffith Institute.  If you've never seen or been to a Relay For Life, it's something that I would suggest that you do.  It is an opportunity for people to celebrate lives that have been affected by cancer.

By "lives that have been affected by cancer" I mean everyone from survivors to family members who have lost loved ones in their fight.  They all come together to help put an end to cancer.  As it is with most memorial walks, everyone comes for their own reasons.  Some come to remember loved ones, survivors come to show that cancer doesn't always win, while others come to simply show their support in the fight.

It's a fundraising event that is done nationwide and if you missed the one today in Springville ,there are many others happening throughout Western New York.  To find an event simply enter the zip code or town in the search box on The Relay For Life website.  To donate to the Springville walk, just click here .
