Rob Banks’ Top 25 Darius Rucker Songs: #1 — ‘Hold My Hand’

#1: “Hold My Hand”

I can’t believe that the Taste Of Country is tomorrow!! It’s been a quick 25 days, and I hope that we get to hear most of these songs from Darius Rucker tomorrow night down at Coca-Cola Field. You can bet I’ll be standing in the crowd, singing along to every word.

I can’t wait. Tomorrow night’s going to be clear and beautiful — perfect for drinking some beers and watching this guy kill it on stage.

“Hold My Hand”, off Cracked Rear View, was the song that started it all for Hootie and the Blowfish. All four of the band members — Mark Bryan, Dean Felber, Darius Rucker and Jim Sonefeld — wrote the song. Released in July 1994, “Hold My Hand” charted at number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.
