Rochester Wins Super Bowl Surprise Concert Sweepstakes

While Buffalo, NY was just ranked the 'Most Proud City', Rochester has been named by the Super Bowl Sweepstakes the 'Most Hyped Hometown in America'.

Now, Rochester be prepared to be in the spotlight.

The USA Today reported that on Friday, Rochester was crowned and

Pepsi is going to roll into town on Sunday, Jan. 18, with a pop-up concert featuring a special yet-to-be-named guest, and a lucky group of Rochesterians will win tickets to the Pepsi Super Bowl XLIX halftime show to see singer Katy Perry perform live."

It's not just a concert either. It is going to be a full blown take-over in Rochester this weekend with TONS of surprises.

During the sweepstakes period — Nov. 26 to Dec. 27 — local participants submitted a photo or video, along with a brief description, showing excitement for the Super Bowl XLIX halftime show. Each entrant was allowed up to five submissions per day during the sweepstakes period.

 

Last year, Lee Brice was the surprise concert that took over a town in the Midwest. Who will it be this year? We'll find out Sunday in Rochester as it will be all eyes on them during the couple weeks prior to the big game!
