Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting Means Christmas Is Here

It's a holiday special I always look forward to and in addition to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade it always puts me in the holiday mood.  And despite attempts by protesters to disrupt it, the 82nd Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting in New York City came off without a hitch.

Wednesday night's ceremony included performances by LeAnn Rimes, Trisha Yearwood, Darius Rucker, Maria Carey, Seth McFarlane and Sara Bareilles and many more.  And of course it all leads up to the lighting of the tree decorated with strings of lights that would stretch for five miles.
