Sarah Glidden, a sophomore cross country athlete for Hortonville High School in Wisconsin, had a deer run into her during a sectional qualifying 4,000 meter race, suffering only a leg bruise, but the collision may have cost her a shot at competing at state.

With a little more than 100 meters remaining in the race, a deer raced out of the woods and ran right into her, hitting her in the shin area. Via the Post Crescent:
