Runners Roost’s UGG Trade-In Event Starts Today

When is it officially OK to break out your fall boots? After Labor Day? After the first official day of fall? When your toes get cold?

If you haven't unpacked last year's boots, Runners Roost (4190 N Buffalo Road, Orchard Park) has a promotion coming up that might be worth opening that closet or storage bin: From Oct. 5 to Oct. 8, Runners Roost is offering up to $50 off a new pair of UGG boots for every gently used pair of boots you bring in. The used boots will be donated to a local woman's shelter.

This comes at the perfect time. My wife "casually" mentioned to me that this sale was almost here and that she needed a new pair of UGGs before the winter.  It just so happens we have a few pair of UGGs that we can donate to this great cause as well!

Runners Roost has all the latest fall colors and styles for men, women and kids — plus UGG care kits and protectant spray. (UGGs are known for their incredible warmth from the thick layer of lambs wool that covers the inside of the boots.)

For years, I was wearing size 12s but the staff at Runners Roost insisted on measuring my feet the last time I bought running shoes. I was shocked to see my feet were a size 14.

Runners Roost improved my running just by focusing on properly fitting shoes! The burning sensation I used to feel on my feet is gone, along with the feeling that I'm landing RIGHT on my foot when running.

They were really good with my 2-year-old Hank, too. He won't be running at 10K anytime soon, but he loves to run around the park, the house and (honestly) around Runners Roost while we were shopping. The staff was friendly and engaged with him so well he loved being fit for his own shoes.
