Sabres Buying The Rochester Amerks

In May we told you that the  Sabres Had Shown Interest In Buying The Rochester Americans .  Today the  American Hockey League has announced their approval of the sale to Terry Pegula.

The Buffalo Sabres and the Rochester Americans had been partners until 2008 when Tom Golisano changed their affiliation to the Portland Pirates.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed.  The Sabres are expected to have a formal news conference some time next week to make the official announcement.
