Sabres Close In On A Playoff Spot

Thomas Vanek’s hat trick led the Sabres to a 4-2 win over Tampa Bay while Jhonas Enroth stopped 23 shots. Tim Connolly had the other Buffalo goal as the Sabres moved to within one point of clinching a playoff berth.
I was in the lockerroom after the game and joined other reporters with Thomas Vanek.

The Sabres need just one point in their final two games or a Carolina loss in any one of the Hurricanes’ final three games to clinch a playoff spot.
The Sabres host Philadelphia on Friday night on Fan Appreciation Night. No less than 75 former Sabres’ players, coaches and general managers are expected to attend.
