Sabres Lay A Big Flamingo Egg In Florida
What a bunch of thieves. The Sabres stole their paychecks in a 6 to 2 loss to the Florida Panthers Friday night. They obviously weren't ready to play in the first period. They were down 1-nothing after less than two minutes and 4-nothing after the first period. It was 5-nothing before they finally scored a goal of their own. And everybody is to blame - from the forwards to the defensemen to goaltender Ryan Miller who was pulled after the first period in favor of Patrick Lalime. This was a true team loss. Was it a case of enjoying the warmer Florida weather just a little too much? Maybe they thought they were on vacation because they certainly weren't thinking about getting the job done. As for me, I can't believe I watched the whole thing. This game was over in the first period. What a way to spend a Friday night. The Sabres continue their two-game Florida swing Saturday night at Tampa Bay.
