The Buffalo Sabres are having a tough enough time winning games this season that they don't need to give them away. But that's what happened Tuesday night against the Philadelphia Flyers, when two dumb penalties by the Sabres' Zenon Konopka led to a pair of Flyers power play goals.

That should be enough to earn him a spot in the press box for awhile.

Still, the Sabres were poised to earn at least a point against the Flyers. With the score tied at 3 and time winding down in the third period, the game appeared to be going to overtime when a shot by Vincent Lecavalier found the net with just 14.8 seconds left, giving the Flyers a 4-3 win.

The loss drops Jonas Enroth's goaltending record to 1-9-4 this season. He had some pretty good saves, some tough luck, but even though the team gave him three goals, he still couldn't register a victory.

Goal scorers for the Sabres were Cody Hodgson, Matt D'Agostini and Tyler Ennis.  Captain Steve Ott had a pair of assists.

The Sabres try again Wednesday night in Toronto.
