The Buffalo Sabres are 3 for 3 so far on their four game roadtrip. After shutout victories in Anaheim and San Jose the Sabres kept rolling along with a 5 to 3 win against the league-leading Vacouver Canucks.  The Sabres built a 3-0 first period lead on a pair of goals by Ville Leino and one by Brad Boies, then held off the Canucks the rest of the way.

Former Canuck defenseman Christian Ehrhoff scored early in the third period to make it 4-1.  Then after former Sabre Zach Kassian scored his first goal as a Canuck to make it 4-3, the Sabres held on until Tyler Ennis scored into an empty net in the final minute.

Saturday night's win sets up a key match-up on Monday night against the Winnipeg Jets.  With 17 games left to play the Sabres now stand just two points behind the Jets for the final playoff spot.  Monday night's game will conclude the four-game western road trip, but after a home game Wednesday against Carolina the Sabres are back on the road for games Thursday in Boston and Saturday in Ottawa.
