For once the Sabres stayed out of the penalty box and it paid off.  One of the league-leaders in penalty minutes, the Sabres drew just one minor penalty while skating to a 3-1 win over the New York Rangers.  Marcus Foligno led the way with a pair of goals while after nearly a year and a half Jonas Enroth finally won a game.

Enroth hadn't won a game since November 26th, 2011.  Since then he was 0-10-2.  He made 32 saves against the Rangers to finally skate off the ice with a win.  Enroth got the call in place of Ryan Miller who had a sinus infection.

The Sabres power play remains abysmal going 0 for 5.  And it was while the Sabres were skating with the man advantage the Rangers scored shorthanded to open the scoring.

After a winless four-game road trip the Sabres got back into the winning column.  And for the first time this season they've won two straight on home ice.  They host Ottawa on Saturday at 3 pm.
