All of sudden the Buffalo Sabres are hot.  They've won four straight games on home ice and have points in five of their last six games overall.  Ryan Miller has been an important reason why.  Sunday night at First Niagara Center Miller stopped a career high 49 of 50 shots and all six shots in a shootout to give the Sabres a 2-1 victory over the Washington Capitals.

Drew Stafford gave Buffalo a 1-0 lead late in the second period, but the Capitals tied it in the third to force overtime and a shootout.  Sabres captain Steve Ott was the only one of six shooters for each team to score in the shootout.  It's Miller's fourth shootout victory this season with his only loss coming last Friday night against Toronto.

The Sabres are in Winnipeg on Tuesday night.
