This week we salute Loretta Kaminsky. Loretta  was nominated by Patti Murray. Patti writes:

Loretta was a member of my Zumba class and nearby neighbor for several years. We became friends when I started driving her to class during inclement weather and we would chat back and forth during the drive. She always had such good advice and was so caring and concerned about everyone in class. When Loretta's dear husband of 49 years past away, instead of hiding in grief, she reached out to others! At the age of 80, she became a Zumba instructor! She now teaches packed classes at the Y and in many senior centers! Loretta is a famous entrepreneur, one of the first woman to own a chocolate company, desert business, is a past officer of the NY State small buisness association, several boards of directors, has been featured on AM Buffalo, Shoppers Network, And is featured in several books including a recent one called "women of distinction". She is an over 40 year Breast Cancer survivor and has taught classes for Breast Cancer survivors. She lives her life to the fullest and has even turned the page starting a new relationship with a youngster of 76, who is a local dentist and still working as well!! Loretta has taught me a lot about living life to the fullest! She gives hope to so many seniors in her classes that life is still fun no matter what your age!!! She also feeds her students awesome treats along with love and caring!!!

Each week, we highlight a senior who has enriched the lives of those in their Western New York community. Whether they are a friend or family, everyone knows a senior who has made a lasting, positive impact on their life.
