It was almost anti-climatic when 17-year old Scotty McCreery was named the winner of this year's "American Idol" at the end of last night's season finale on FOX.   McCreery came out on top of 16-year-old Lauren Alaina with more than 122-million votes cast between the two of them.

The story of last night's two-hour show was the star-studded line-up with appearances by Lady Ga-ga, Bono, Tim McGraw, Beyonce, even Tom Jones and Tony Bennett.

Tim McGraw was joined by Scotty to sing "Live Like You Were Dying."

Carrie Underwood and Lauren teamed up for "Before He Cheats."

It was a good night for country music.  Country music is huge and it was reflected in this year's American Idol.
