I've never been to the town of Barrington, NY but now may be a good time to check it out. Until Tuesday, the town was what many call a "dry town."

On Election Day, November 7, the town held a vote to allow alcohol to be consumed and sold in bars ans taverns. Strange right? But the law in Barrington read that alcohol could only be sold or consumed in hotels. There are no hotels in the town.

According to MetroSource News:
...voters in the Yates County town approved three alcohol related measures. Taverns, restaurants and hotels in Barrington will now be able to sell booze. The measures passed overwhelmingly.
