We would like to send our sincere thanks to our Hometown Hero Of The Week!  This week it is Army Sgt. Josh Haslely. Originally from Newfane, Sgt Hasley is currently serving in Afghanistan.

He was nominated by his wife, Kelly, who is missing him while he is away and she is taking care of their daughter. He was deployed in January. Sgt. Hasely is 23 years old and is currently in his fifth year as an EOD tech in the US Army. His family and friends cannot wait until he comes home in October!

Thank you for your service to our country, Josh. Please stay safe while you are away and come home as soon as you can. We want you to know that we appreciate everything that you have done to ensure our freedom!

If you would like to nominate someone who is currently serving our country or has served in the past, click the button below. We will choose a new Hometown Hero each Friday. If their name is chosen, we will not only feature them right here on WYRK.com, but we’ll be sure to thank them for their service on the air and dedicate the first song on Noon Tunes to them.
