Either we're evolving...or just giving up. Oxford has just released new words that have been added to the dictionary this month. However, I think most of them are what could be considered, "buzzwords."
NASA has picked eight new astronauts, half of them women. And that’s the highest percentage of female astronaut candidates ever selected for a class. There were 6,100 applicants.
NASA says they choose their astronauts based only on skill and qualifications. It has nothing to do with gender.
Didn't get to the show on June 14? Got to the show but didn't get a t-shirt? You're in luck! WYRK has a limited number of small- and medium-sized commemorative Taste Of Country 2013 shirts available for $20!
I just recently got an iPhone, and I'm obsessed with the panoramic camera function. I spent most of Taste Of Country taking them and then running and showing anyone and everyone.
The Ride For Roswell is quickly approaching, and I am super excited to be a part of this year's event. Not only is is going to be a great way to get some exercise, but with the opening ceremonies and a performance by LeAnn Rimes, it is going to be just plain fun!
Knowing that we are going to be part of the biggest fundraiser of the year for such a fantastic research facility makes it all the better!
For more than 125 years, it has stood in New York harbor as a symbol of personal rights and freedom, especially for the millions of immigrants who passed it to begin their new lives in this country. It was on this day in 1885 that Lady Liberty arrived in New York in more than 200 boxes as a gift from France. It took about a year to put it together and it was dedicated in a ceremony by President Grover Cleveland.
It's almost here! The Ride For Roswell is this Friday and Saturday. There is still time to help! It is has been circled on my calender for a long time, and I can't wait to get the festivities started this Friday at UB.
1,000 wins for Ford in NASCAR’s Top Three series and Greg Biffle delivered it in the Quicken Loans 400 Sprint Cup race at Michigan Speedway. Biffle grabbed the lead during a round of pit stops during the final caution with 32 laps left and held off the rest of the field. Once again Jimmie Johnson had a strong car and he was the biggest threat to Biffle in the closing laps. Johnson was gaining when he cut a tire and hit the outside wall with three laps to go. Biffle then easily beat Kevin Harvick to the finish line.

Sarah Hinson wanted her students to know what it stands for, so she taught them how to pay respect to the flag by reciting the pledge of allegiance and on June 14, 1891, she began the tradition of a formal ceremony of saluting and honoring the flag on the anniversary of the day that the Continental Congress accepted the design of the American flag.
The WYRK Taste Of Country is finally here! And because country fans are so giving and so loyal and so patriotic, we have decided to give back to our fellow Americans that need our support.
There is a question that no dog owner can see to answer: Why is it that your dog loves its face out the window at 55 MPH in a car -- but will try to attack you if you blow in its ear?
