Sizable Fisher Found In Barker,NY [PHOTO]

It was almost a year ago when Clay posted about the Large Fisher found in Orchard Park and now there is one spotted in Barker. The Fisher in Barker was hit by a car last week and it looks pretty big! The person who sent in the picture wishes to remain anonymous but gave permission for the photo to be used.

I had never heard of a Fisher until Clay posted about it last year. It's a member of the weasel family and according to Wikipedia, despite their name they rarely eat fish. They also used to be very in demand in the 18th century for their pelts which caused their numbers to go way down and despite conservation efforts, while the numbers have improved they are still low comparatively.
