It has been awhile since we have been able to get on a snowmobile and hit the trails.

The first reported fatality from a snowmobile crash occurred over the weekend in New York.

According to Syracuse.com:

46 year old Michelle L. Wander was riding north on First Lake in the town of Webb at 12:02 a.m. when she lost control of the snowmobile and crashed, town of Webb Police Chief Ronald Johnston said.

Snowmobiles are some of the most powerful and agile off rad vehicles for their size and weight. They can go very fast n a short amount of time and unfortunately can also be hard to correct when they get out of control.

The best advice is to slow down, ride to conditions and your ability.
