Tony Stewart chalked up his second victory of the season when rain brought Sunday’s Sprint Cup race at Auto Club Speedway in California to an early end. Stewart passed Kyle Busch on the 85th lap, and he led when rain finally stopped the race that up to that point hadn’t had a single caution period.

After a short delay when it appeared the rain would continue for most of the afternoon, race officials called the race giving Stewart his 46th career win and his second at Fontana.
So stretching back to last season, Stewart has won seven of the last 15 races.
Busch led a race-high 80 laps and settled for second.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. has finished 15th or better in all five races so far this season. He came in third, while Kevin Harvick and Carl Edwards completed the Top Five.
Points leader Greg Biffle came in sixth - his fourth Top 10 in five races. Biffle leads Kevin Harvick now by 7 points. Earnhardt moves up to third place and Stewart now stands fourth.
Martinsville is up next.
