Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles Statement About The Indiana State Fair Tragedy

Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles released a statement on the duo’s website yesterday regarding the terrible tragedy before their Saturday night show at the Indiana State Fair where five people were killed and several injured.  Jennifer writes “I am so moved.  Moved by the grief of those families who lost loved ones.  Moved by the pain of those who were injured.  Moved by the great heroism as I watched so many brave Indianapolis fans actually run toward the stage to try and help lift and rescue those injured.  Moved by the quickness and organization of the emergency workers who set up the triage and tended to the injured’.

I know a few people who work with Sugarland at their label who were at the show and they said it was just totally devastating to see and it will haunt them forever.  You just don’t think something like that could ever happen.  What a horrible, horrible tragedy.
