Amazon will have a home in the Western New York area after all. Amazon announced that there will be a few distribution centers scattered around the United States and one of them is just down the Thruway from Buffalo.

According to Metro News:

Amazon will be opening a distribution center in Western New York. Yesterday Monroe County leaders announced that the retail giant would be opening its first Upstate facility in Henrietta. The 70-thousand-square-foot facility could be open before the end of the summer. It isn't clear how many jobs this will bring.

Amazon is leading the way for how items are purchased online and previously there was hopes the Buffalo area would be the regional headquarters for Amazon. Unfortunately, Buffalo-Rochester didn't make it past the first round of qualifying cities.
