Elma native Eric Kaminski is an Olympic medal winner.  He and teammates Brady Ellison and Jacob Wukie settled for silver when Italy's Michele Frangilli was perfect on the final shot of the match to claim the gold for the Italians by just one point.  It was the first-ever gold medal in archery for Italy and the silver was the best finish for American archers since 1996.

Earlier this week, I wrote a blog about archery which ended up resulting in a lot of phone calls and emails about archery. Seems like we have a lot of WYRK listeners who are also involved with the hobby. This is great because sometimes I feel like we archers make up a very small segment of the population...

One of my many hobbies is archery. It's been a passion of mine for a lot of years. I even got my son into the hobby and he enjoys it as well. Sometimes I wish there were more hours in the day so I could practice a bit more. I have always wondered why more people have not discovered archery...

Remember back in the day when kids would sit around doing "trick" shots in basketball.  Well, the idea has evolved.  They still put the ball through the hoop in a "trick" fashion.  Only now, the ball is delivered with an arrow.  If you like archery, you might like this video.  Poor panda...

Archery season kicks off here in Western New York on October 15th. Watching this video made me realize I have to get my a** in gear. The season will be here before you know it and I have not been shooting that much. This video of Blake is actually inspiring me to get out and practice...
