January 8th, 2000. You remember the "Music City Miracle". The Tennessee Titans came up with an incredible play at the end of the game to beat the Buffalo Bills in the AFC playoffs. Yep, it's the last time the Buffalo Bills were in the playoffs. It cost Special Teams coach Bruce DeHaven his job and the following year coach Wade Phillips was fired. The Buffalo Bills have been struggling to find their way back to the playoffs ever since.
Are you ready for some football? The Buffalo Bills are on the road to Arrowhead Stadium this Sunday to take on the Kansas City Chiefs. Here's a Bills fan with a pretty in-depth preview of the upcoming game
Okay, I know we are not even close to thinking about Christmas yet, but I found this video of our Buffalo Bills getting into the Christmas spirit. After watching the video, I am very glad these guys are playing football for a living
One of my passions besides being on the radio is fantasy football. I was so down about the NFL Lockout and got happy again because the lockout ended. I cannot imagine being without football. I first and foremost am a huge Bills fan but watch all teams to root for the players on my fantasy team.
Not too many people will say they love going to preseason games. You might see the starters play for a few series then they're off the field for the rest of the game. Preseason games are all about auditioning players for roster spots and once in a while you just might see a competitive game. Saturday night at Ralph Wilson Stadium just might fit into that category.
For the second straight week the Buffalo Bills opened the scoring with a Rian Lindell field goal at the end of a nice game opening drive, but the offense sputtered from there. Meanwhile, the Denver Broncos built a 14-3 second quarter lead on a touchdown run and touchdown reception by former Bill running back Willis McGahee and the Bills never threatened after that in a 24-10 Broncos win.
If you're a Bills fan, then you already know that The Buffalo Bills waived their first round draft pick from 2009 the other day. Aaron Maybin was picked 11th overall in the 2009 draft and has been a "project" for the Bills as he struggled to see play time. Today he signed with the New York Football Jets. So what are the rumblings about Aaron Maybin on Twitter? Here are some of the tweets that I gathered from Twitter tonight.
I've never been a fan of preseason football games. You get to see each team's projected starters for a short time and they're replaced by rookies or free agents trying to make the team. That's what preseason is all about - giving players a look to see how they play in game situations. There's only so much you can determine during training camp. Sometimes a player really raises eyebrows by his performance in preseason games.
One thing I do in my spare time is blog about sports with some friends of mine. I even do a sports podcast from time to time. A day after the Buffalo Bills traded wide receiver Lee Evans to the Baltimore Ravens, fans including myself have not stopped talking and being very opinionted about the move
Buffalo has had some of the greatest sports memories in recent history. Who can forget the incredible come back game between the Bills led by Frank Riech and the Houston Oilers. Unfortunately most of our memories involving sports in Western New York are not something we care to remember
