January 16, 2012 The Buffalo Sabres and Detroit Red Wings are teams going in opposite directions. The Red Wings have won 15 straight games on home ice while the Sabres have lost 9 straight on the road. Those are both team records and there's no sign that's going to change anytime soon.

Let me preface this blog by telling you that I am more of a casual Buffalo Sabres fan. I like the team and I watch them but I don't live and die with them like many of my friends. I have been to two Sabres games in the past week and had a great time at each of them
You really don't know how much you miss them until they're gone. Last night. was the first night that the Time Warner Cable v.s. MSG battle really affected me. As a second job, I tend bar at a local watering hole in North Buffalo and let me tell you....NO SABRES...NO BUSINESS. It was horrible!! I started off the night with three people and we were forced to watch....
We all know the Sabres have had their troubles lately....Not winning at home....loads of injuries. Well, the game tonight in Toronto may prove to be more difficult than at first thought. December 20, 2011 Things are going a lot different this season than most Sabres fans figured they would. I'm one of them. With all additions to the lineup, the upgrades at First Niagara Center including the new locker room I guess we figured the Sabres were on their way to winning it all. Hasn't worked out that way.

You probably heard about former Buffalo Sabre Matthew Barnaby getting stupid on alcohol behind the wheel of his Porsche SUV and screwing it up pretty good from driving without a front tire. He lost his job at ESPN over it and may get booted out of our country
