Sabres Make It 3 In A Row Out West

The Buffalo Sabres are 3 for 3 so far on their four game roadtrip. After shutout victories in Anaheim and San Jose the Sabres kept rolling along with a 5 to 3 win against the league-leading Vacouver Canucks.  The Sabres built a 3-0 first period lead on a pair of goals by Ville Leino and one by Brad Boies, then held off the Canucks the rest of the way.

Back To Back Shutouts For The Sabres

In two games out west the Sabres have yet to give up a goal.  Ryan Miller posted his second straight shutout making 39 saves as the Sabres held off the San Jose Sharks 1-0 on Thursday night.  That came just one night after he made 43 saves in a 2-0 win in Anaheim on Wednesday night.  So that's 82 saves in consecutive nights for the Sabres goaltender.

Half-Hearted Effort Nets Sabres Loss

Sabres Stretch Point Streak To Six Games

I still think they're going to miss the playoffs because they have just way too much ground to make up in the standings, but the Buffalo Sabres sure are playing well the past couple of weeks. Friday night at First Niagara Center they battled back from down 2-0 to beat the Dallas Stars in a shootout 3 to 2

Jonas Enroth Gives A Look At His New Helmet [VIDEO]

I've always thought that goalies in the NHL had the coolest helmets in all of sports.  I think it's great that they're allowed to show a bit of their personality along with some team spirit by getting their masks painted any way they like.  Buffalo Sabres goalie Jonas Enroth just had his done and he gives us a closer look here.

Buffalo Sabres Coach Lindy Ruff Injured In Practice

As if this hockey season couldn't get any stranger. It seems that having an inordinate number of player injuries wasn't enough, Buffalo Sabres coach Lindy Ruff broke three ribs during Monday morning's practice at First Niagara Center when he was blindsided by defenseman Jordan Leopold.

Sabres Lose In A Shootout

The Buffalo Sabres played a tremendous defensive hockey game last night at First Niagara Center - they just had a tough time scoring.  That's no different from the way the whole season has been going.  The game against the New York Rangers ended in a scoreless tie after overtime setting the stage for a shootout.  That's where the Rangers came thru for a 1-0 win.

Sabres Drop 9th Straight Road Game

The Buffalo Sabres and Detroit Red Wings are teams going in opposite directions.  The Red Wings have won 15 straight games on home ice while the Sabres have lost 9 straight on the road.  Those are both team records and there's no sign that's going to change anytime soon.
