April 4, 2012 The Sabres rallied back to beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 6 to 5 in overtime last night, but it’s not likely the way they drew it up. When the Maple Leafs made it 5 to 3 with just over 9 minutes left to play, there were some fans that started to trickle out of the building, but they missed an exciting comeback.
April 2, 2012 The weekend was a dreary one for Sabres fans hoping for one final push to get into the playoffs. Things looked great until Friday and Saturday came along and dealt the Sabres two losses. However, don't count them out yet.

The Sabres are back into a tie with the Washington Capitals for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference entering tonight's game after the Caps beat the Bruins in a shootout 3-2. But the Sabres can move back ahead of the Caps with a win or even if they reach overtime.
March 29, 2012 Clay mentioned it yesterday that he got a Tweet that said the odds for the Buffalo Sabres to win the Stanley Cup stand at 38 to 1. Just last month the odds were 200 to 1. I looked into it and there are all kinds of places where you can place a bet on almost anything and some places have those odds as high as 15 to 1. Almost all of them have the Pittsburgh Penguins with the best odds of winning the whole thing at about 4 to 1.

The Sabres built a 3-0 lead and rolled to a 5-1 win over the Washington Capitals Tuesday night in Washington. Drew Stafford scored twice while Cody McCormick, Thomas Vanek and Jason Pominville added singles. Ryan Miller stopped 44 shots leading the Sabres to their fifth straight win.

March 22, 2012 Since January the Buffalo Sabres have been battling up from the bottom of the standings and last night finally pulled into a tie with the Washington Capitals for the 8th and final playoff spot. Rookie Cody Hodgson scored twice - his first goals as a Sabre - while Ryan Miller stopped 34 shots for his 6th shutout of the season in a 3-0 win over the Montreal Canadiens.
March 15, 2012 For the second straight game the Buffalo Sabres gave up the tying goal in the closing seconds, but this time it cost them the game. The Colorado Avalanche pulled their goaltender for an extra skater with 1:30 left to play and the Avs needed almost all of it to finally break thru with the tying goal, scoring with just 1.9 seconds left in the third period. After a scoreless overtime, the Avs won it in a shootout for a stunning 5-4 victory.

Tyler Ennis scored twice in regulation while Tyler Myers scored in overtime to give the Sabres a 3-2 win over the Montreal Canadiens for Buffalo's fifth straight win on home ice. It moves the Sabres to within two points of Washington for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with 12 games left to play.
