June 7, 2012 I watched the two and half hour CMT Music Awards last night and pretty much enjoyed all of the performers. There were some stand outs including the opening which teamed Lady Antebellum with pop band Hot Chelle Rae who’s hit song ‘Tonight, Tonight’ mashed up well with Lady A’s ‘We Owned The Night’. It was a seamless fit and personally a big highlight of the show for me.
Right after performing ‘Good Girl,’ the gilded goddess Carrie Underwood returned to the stage to pick up her award for Video of the Year at the 2012 CMT Music Awards tonight (June 6). Country legend Alan Jackson, who revealed that he has made 54 music videos over the course of his career and pointed out the importance of the medium, presented Underwood with her buckle for the biggest award of the evening.

May 11, 2012 Country music is at the top of its game with great CD’s that are selling like hot cakes here in Buffalo. The one to watch is the new release from Carrie Underwood. The CD titled ‘Blown Away’ debuted at number nationaly and here in Buffalo as well and literally did blow me away. I’m a renewed Carrie fan after hearing this disc.
Carrie Underwood has proven in the past few weeks that she really does draw in fans of all ages. First, she stopped by the PS22 school in Staten Island to sing her latest single ‘Good Girl’ with the fifth grade choir. And just this week, a video surfaced of an adorable three-year-old who showed her love for the singer by belting out Underwood’s new tune and dancing wildly, despite being slightly restrained by her car seat.
