June 7, 2011 The rumors were confirmed on Monday when ABC announced they've signed Katie Couric to a multi-year deal to host a new syndicated daytime talk show and to be a contributor to ABC News. The talk show will debut in September of next year and will be based in New York.
May 20, 2011 After just under five years hosting the CBS Evening News Katie Couric made her final appearance Thursday night. She spent part of the program looking back on some of the stories and newsmakers she covered during her stint in the anchor chair.
April 26, 2011 In a story appearing on "People" magazine's website, Katie Couric has confirmed she's leaving the anchor desk on the "CBS Evening News." The "People" story confirmed rumors that she would be leaving but doesn't say what she plans to do next. Couric didn't reveal many details about her next move except to say she'd like to do more "multi-dimensional storytelling." She told "People" that she feels proud of the award-winning work she and the "CBS Evening News" team have done over the past five years. Her last day on the job is expected to be June 4th.
