How Long Do You Keep Your Christmas Decorations Up?

The holidays are over and the snow has already begun to melt (although I know there will be more to come). Yet I still have not taken down my Christmas decorations. I know it seems late but this year it's because we are waiting for some family members to see them still. But how late is too late?

I've never had the daunting task of having to put Christmas lights on a house, but I imagine it isn't easy. I see lots of great displays as I drive around Western New York, and some not so great ones. ( You people know who you are....Too lazy to make sure your lines are straight, wrapped around a tree improperly..etc etc.) Anyways....This guy did a fantastic job and he used 54,000 lights. Check it....

When is too soon for Christmas Lights? As a standard I say wait until Thanksgiving weekend to put up the lights but I myself couldn’t resist the mild weather this weekend so I went ahead and put up my lights. Granted I will not turn them on until Thanksgiving, but they’re ready to go. In my neighborhood I did see houses fully decorated. Why not, 1 out of 3 commercials you see are Christmas commercials and local radio stations have started round the clock Christmas music (too soon for me, just sayin').
