November 6, 2011 It takes a large crew and a few days to get ready for the CMA. It is Country Music's biggest night and here is a video of the guys setting up what will be the runway that the stars take to get in to the Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday night.

He was getting ready to host today's Music City Walk Of Fame event honoring (among others) Alan Jackson and Kixx Brooks! What a great guy! I busted on to his set and asked for some time and in true Southern fashion, Bill was gracious enough to give me a quick interview!
November 6, 2011 If you have never been to Nashville, here is a bit of what the honky tonkin is like on a Saturday night. In every single bar and on every single corner you can find live music. Most of which is good enough to "make it." The problem for most of these performers is that they have not gotten their big break.
It's amazing what 12 years can do to someones career in the music business. In the late 1990's, there was no one hotter in country music than Shania Twain. It is possible that she may make a comeback, although she really doesn't need to from a financial standpoint
Darius Rucker is just one of the artists that will duet with Lionel Richie at the 2011 CMA Awards. He’s one of the many country artists that joined Richie to sing some of his classic hits on his upcoming ‘Tuskegee’ album that is scheduled to be released in March.

Kix was surprised Monday with a phone call from Tim McGraw telling him he had just won the CMA for Broadcast Personality of the Year as host of American Country Countdown, which you can hear every Sunday night on WYRK

The Band Perry, Lady Antebellum, and Miranda Lambert will join the star-filled lineup at the 2011 CMA Awards in November, reports The Boot. What a difference a year makes, especially if you’re the Band Perry! Just last year, the trio — individually known as siblings Kimberly, Reid and Neil Perry — first attended the CMA Awards to perform their hit song ‘If I Die Young’ and compete for Group of the Year honors. This year, the trio is nominated for five awards, including Single and Song of the Year for ‘If I Die Young.’
