Iconic country musician Willie Nelson will celebrate his 80th birthday on April 30. He marked the special occasion by taping a special for CMT in Nashville last week. Nelson was joined by an all-star roster for a special episode of CMT Crossroads titled 'Willie Nelson and Friends from Third Man Records.'

I was home sick most of this week and in between my sleep coma's (I had many) I was able to catch up with CMT and GAC. I haven't really paid to much attention to video's I think only because when I'm home I try to do other non-work related things. But man I was impressed with some of the great videos on these channels. Two of which are brand new, Justin Moore's 'Til My Last Day' and Easton Corbin's 'Lovin' You Is Fun'.

For the second year in a row, CMT is pairing up with NBC to announce the anticipated nominees for the 2012 CMT Awards. On Monday (April 23), Little Big Town will head to Rockefeller Plaza in New York City to make the big announcement on the ‘TODAY’ show. The big reveal will take place during the 10 AM EST hour with host Hoda Kotb and guest host Willie Geist.

Trace Adkins says he appreciates all the support from friends and fans after fire destroyed his home in Brentwood, Tennessee over the weekend. But instead of trying to help him he's asking that donations be made to the American Red Cross through CMT's charitable arm, CMT One Country. Trace says there are so many families across the midwest and south who are struggling right now from flooding and tornadoes this spring. He says they need the help a whole lot more than he does.
