August 18, 2011 I have been filling in for John LaMond all this week on WYRK, the other day I mentioned that I have a favorite new song it's from JT Hodges and it's called "Hunt You Down." Such a cool, fun, whistlin' good song with a fresh sound! June 9, 2011 Trace Adkins says he appreciates all the support from friends and fans after fire destroyed his home in Brentwood, Tennessee over the weekend. But instead of trying to help him he's asking that donations be made to the American Red Cross through CMT's charitable arm, CMT One Country. Trace says there are so many families across the midwest and south who are struggling right now from flooding and tornadoes this spring. He says they need the help a whole lot more than he does.
June 9, 2011 I had the chance to watch the CMT awards last night. I understand that in this day and age you have to "cater" to the crowd that is going to get you the most response. Clearly CMT was doing that last night.From the opening of the show (a Thelma and Louise spoof with Shania and Taylor) the show was hard for me to watch.

Reba, Martina McBride, Alison Krauss, and Shania Twain are some of the women featured.
April 6, 2011 Every once in a while a song comes along that just blows me away like the new Justin Moore single has. "If Heaven Wasn't so Far Away' is the first single from Justin's Sophomore album, "Outlaws Like Me" due out later this year. The song and video is somewhat of a tribute to his late grandfather. If you've ever lost someone close to you this song will strike a cord I'm sure.

February 2, 2011 Last week on American Idol we saw Chelsee Oaks and Rob Bolin auditioned together and they were both given the golden ticket to Hollywood. They’re harmonies together were totally beautiful and separately they shined as well. This former couple is no stranger to competition as they previously competed together on CMT’s “Can You Duet” in 2009, at that time the two were romantically involved and they actually made it to the top five before they were eliminated.
January 31, 2011 CMT is hosting a 24 hour listening party on their Facebook page to hear every song on Thompson Square's brand new self-titled debut album before it hits the shelves next Tuesday. We actually just got the full CDs here at the station today and I am listening to it as I type this.
