D. Vincent Williams

Every now and then a new artist runs through WYRK studios and performs a mini concert for a few of the staffers.  Most of the time, we find out that the guy/girl has been working the circuit in Nashville or has been writing there for quite a while.  One guy who recently blew through Buffalo on one of those quick tours was D. Vincent Williams.  Williams has been writing in Nashville for a long time

Today (Thursday, July 26), I had the pleasure of meeting new artist, D. Vincent Williams. You may not recognize his name yet, but if you've been a country music fan for any length of time, you've probably heard his songs.  In 2002, Williams wrote the Rascal Flatts' blockbuster, “I’m Movin’ On,” named the 2003 Academy of Country Music Awards' Song of the Year.
