He published 46 children’s books including “Cat In the Hat”,“Green Eggs and Ham” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”.<br />
Geisel worked as a political cartoonist, illustrator and author during his life.  He drew posters for the military during World War Two.  He even wrote a screen play that failed badly.  But he began writing children’s books because he thought the typical Dick and Jane books that kids were reading at the time were just too boring.  </p>
