August 14, 2012 I went to see Kelly Clarkson in Detroit at the DTE Energy Center last Friday night and was happy to see Jordan Meredith perform a Miranda Lambert song, “Mama’s Broken Heart,” with Kelly. The two performed this same song on the ABC show Duets a month or so ago and did a fantastic job with it. I was fortunate enough to talk with Kelly backstage about women in country music, and I’m thrilled that Jordan will be recording some new country songs.

May 24, 2012 Tonight is the night to "duet." The new singing competition called ‘Duets’ premieres on ABC tonight and gives us a new twist. Four superstars will compete alongside their chosen amateur duet partners. Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles has found two singers to compete, R&B influenced J Rome and her fellow Georgia native John Glossom. I would think Jennifer will have an upper hand in this competition, seeing how she is part of a duo and will have experience sharing the spotlight and singing harmony with a partner.

Kelly Clarkson, Robin Thicke, Lionel Ritchie and Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles have all signed on and will travel across America to find singers to be their duet partners. Every week, the celebrity and one of their "discoveries" will perform in front of a live studio audience.
April 30, 2011 Happy birthday to Willie Nelson.I am sure if you asked most of today's country fans, they would tell you that Garth Brooks may have been the guy that brought them to country music. True, Garth may have been one of the most influential stars of our generation. However, I think since he came on the scene, Willie has been country music's greatest ambassador.Willie Nelson may have been accused of many things (pun intended) but, one thing you CAN'T say about the legendary Texan is that he is arrogant or vain.So much has changed in our music and our society. Willie Nelson has consistently kept it real. One of the highlights of my career was having the HONOR to introduce Willie Nelson to 100,000 fans at Jamboree In The Hills!
