Woman Takes Ambulance On Joyride
May 21, 2012 Some people ride an ambulance for transportation to a hospital. Then there are people who steal ambulances to drive away from a hospital. That was the scenario early Sunday morning when an intoxicated woman stole a Rural Metro ambulance outside of the Erie County Medical Center and took it for a joyride that didn't end until she lost control and struck a stone wall at the traffic circle at Kensington Avenue and Harlem Road in Amherst.
