I love the Erie County Fair. It is a tradition that I have been a part of since I was a baby. My family would make a whole day out of it every year and I have carried on that tradition as I have gotten older. The only difference is I am now a part of the action rather than just a spectator. But what has really impressed me over the years is the area that is really the heart and soul of what county fairs are all about.

It is hard to believe that the fair has come and gone. I have to say it was one of the best yet for me. Met lots of great people and saw so many great things that make me proud to live here in Western New York. People work so hard and spend so much time preparing for this event and I hope Iwas able to convey some of that in these blogs. Today's was extra emotional for me as I walked through the 9-11 World Trade Center exhibit.

I think the Conservation building is one that gets overlooked by many people when they attend the fair. perhaps they feel as though it is a building just for hunters and fishermen/women? Although, there is a large part of the building devoted to those sports, it also provided a look at some of the many natural resources and camping and hiking that New York has to offer!
