Erie County Sheriff's Mounted Unit

As folks know, my wife and I love our fur-babies. We have been blessed with many wonderful cats, dogs and horses over the years. Now, with that said, for as much as we adore our "kids", we don't post our that it's our kitty's 2nd birthday on Facebook or Twitter. However, the fact that our Quarter Horse, Jake, turns 30 this Sunday is reason to celebrate.

As many of you know, in addition to my part-time on-air work here at Townsquare Media, I am also a proud member of the Erie County Sheriff's Office Mounted Reserve Unit. I joined back in 1996 and am presently a Lieutenant, Instructor and Chaplain. Our unit suffered a huge loss back in July when a freak malfunction caused our Captain's horse trailer to become disconnected from his vehicle. Hi, it's Craig Matthews inviting you to help us help the hungry. It's time for the Erie County Sheriff's Office Mounted Reserve Unit semi-annual food drive we call, "Mounted for Meals". It happens this Wednesday at Buffalo's famous Broadway Market.  In addition to my on-air work here on WYRK, I am also part of the Sheriff's Mounted Patrol, serving proudly since 1996.
