In 1968, the Oakland Raiders played the New York Jets in a see-saw game that most people didn't see the end of. It became known as "The Heidi-bowl" because the entire East Coast cut away from the game to watch a popular children's show called 'Heidi'. They never saw the two touchdowns that the Raiders scored within :09 to come back and win.

With many people speculating about the status of Ryan Miller at the end of this season, the Sabres had a question mark next to the name that would be standing between the pipes. Today they ensured that at least one of their goaltenders will be back.

The Stanley Cup Finals begin Wednesday night in Chicago when the Blackhawks face the Boston Bruins in Game 1 of the NHL's championship series. If Chicago loses, its fans may storm the offices of the city of nearby Park Ridge, Ill. in protest because the suburb's leaders obviously don't understand NHL playoff superstitions.

I started off feeling super sorry for this girl. I get stage fright sometimes, but this is the definition of stage fright.

Being a sports fan is easy when you are supporting winning teams...but it takes a lot to support a constantly losing team! According to this article from Guy Code on MTV, Buffalo is #4 on the list of 5 Cities That Should Quit at Sports. The article states "these five cities need to do everybody a favor and call it quits".

Real or not real, this is officially the best part of going to a Grizzlies game -- watching people break up on the Kiss Cam. Unless, of course, you're the guy who got dumped, in which case this is probably the worst part of going to a Grizzlies game.

The Buffalo Sabres made it official on Tuesday by removing the interim tag and naming Ron Rolston the team’s permanent head coach. Rolston took over the team in February after the dismissal of Lindy Ruff and led the team to a 15-11-5 record in the 31 games he was behind the bench. Rolston becomes the Sabres’ 16th all-time head coach.

At times it was a pretty testy end-of-season press conference when Buffalo Sabres President Ted Black and General Manager Darcy Regier fielded questions from the media. When you miss the playoffs two years in a row and four of the last six years, fans want answers.  They want value for their ticket money, and they're just not getting it.
